![]() The factory was closed until this week, so we shipped the guns off on Monday, but apparently the owner of the gun who'd had it for a while also called the factory Monday to talk to them about his problem. They wanted the guns sent back to the factory for repair, which we were glad to do, but we were surprised as they were the first ones we've had come back. One had just bought it the day before and the trigger wasn't working, and the other one had had the gun for a while and had shot it quite a bit and was having the same problem with the trigger. Last week 2 different customers brought back their R9's for repair. ![]() They're very small and slick pocket pistols and very expensive too. ![]() I work at a gun shop and we sell the Rohrbaugh R9 pistols. states the gun was not designed to fire 150 rounds that was hard to believe! But true! Interesting gun, back in 2008/9 was thinking about getting 1, but after many broke and the owner of the comp. She will need to get used to the recoil, a 12.8 ounce 9mm KICKS! I think I came out pretty darn good, this will be the third one in my family, I carry a late model Stealth model, my youngest son has my original R9S that I purchased YEARS ago, and this one is going to my wife. Rohrbaugh still has some parts, I have a replacement slide on the way. Now, is there anything I can do about the cracked slide? It keeps going up and up, finally I get it at $565.00 + $25.00 shipping. “Run of the mill” standard Rohrbaugh R9S’s typically bring around $1,000.00 So, I decide to make a run at the R9S, it has a set of RARE early carbon fiber grips that typically sell for $325.00, two magazines at a Gunbroker price of $100.00, the factory case, and the factory paperwork. "We brought up the issue of the handbook to our legal bureau, however we are not certain it will be fixed.Gunbroker had a Rohrbaugh R9S listed that had a cracked slide, now Rohrbaugh was sold to Remington Arms in 2014 and they decided not to bring back the R9S.Įarly on Rohrbaugh Arms had a bad batch of slides from their heat treater. I have written acknowledgment from them that the date is NOT correct, but they also stated, and this is a direct quote: If anyone has any idea what significance July 1, 202 0 has, or where that date came from at all, please share the info. You'll note that the current Suffolk handbook is labeled version 4000 p, and the cover page indicates " copyright July 1, 202 0". Yes, I have a copy.īetween September 202 2 and February 202 3, one could not get ANY handbook from SCPD according to multiple confirmed sources. (Listed on the third page of that version was the date September 2016. Prior to September 202 2 when the SCPD website was taken down, the version of the handbook was 4000 o. For many months before February 22, 202 3, NO handbook AT ALL was available from SCPD, written or downloadable, as the Suffolk government websites were hacked by ransomware pirates, and taken down, in September 202 2. This version of the handbook (4000p) was first available from SCPD on or about February 22, 202 3. I fear someday, SCPD may say something like, " well, this or that policy has been in effect, as shown in our handbook, since July 202 0, well before the CCIA", and very importantly, this would be a blatant lie, and simply untrue. I haven't see anyone else complain about this, but I still think it's potentially very important.
